Pretty sure i forgot something, but yeah.avoid. They really wanted to make sure that you knew they designed a cockpit for the game (X3 only had heads up displays).so to make sure you notice this heroic effort, they made it take 50% of your view away for abolutely no reason. The AI pathfinding bugs out so much that they actually removed collisions from the game. Joysticks are not supported.most will not work properly, xbox and PS controllers work, though. French and russian voiceovers are delayed for 2 weeks, this gives you a hint on how rushed this is. German langauge is incomplete, half the voiceovers are simply not there yet. But instead of playing a action RPG with relatively simple menus, you are playing a space economy simulator where you can have hundreds of ships and stations under your control. Its pretty clear noone ever tested this game. The Ai traders were real and only did real tarderuns for real production chains.Ĭampaign has gamebreaking bugs in it that stop you from advancing 1 hour in. X3 worked like EVE online.everything had to be produced. It seems the simulated economy is mostly gone and replaced by a skyrim like "economy" where NPcs simply have stuff. Rebirth only allows you to fly a quite small ship, you will not be able to change it while X3 games let you fly anything you could get your hands on. In Rebirth you have to fly around huge stations to search for basically market stands. X3 had one station for a product and it was very clear what the station could do. But then you realize they are all the same and you will very quickly get tired of searching for the docking spaces. Same for the huge stations, they look nice at first. They invested huge amounts of resources for walking in stations, but its just a gimmick that is funny for 5 minutes and then gets annoying as you want to fly your ship and not run around in corridors and talk to very ugly NPCs. Rebirth has the typical "terrible engine" problem.max or min settings both produce almost the same low FPS. I advise everyone to play X3:Terran Conflict:Albion Prelude instead. I didnt want to make a new thread since its actually not worth the space on the forum. Any suggestions on what I should do next? So he currently running while I'm at work and I hope to have quite a bit when I get home to play around with, buy a bigger ship (maybe another ST as well) to start doing some of the missions and just generally exploring the universe. When I went to sleep after setting him up in Ore Belt, I had ~$150,000. I started out with Humble Trader and have barely played the game, but after doing some research the first thing I did was rush for a sector trader with my now upgraded Mercury. There doesn't seem to be a good single resource of information (that I've found anyway) so maybe can compile some here! ![]() While it doesn't quite give me that feeling, it's nonetheless proved fun. So I was looking for a game to bring back the feeling of standing on the bridge commanding my own personal space ship, so I ask TL. #1 This will hopefully be a thread where we can discuss the game, strats, available resources for new and experienced players, and our own personal play throughs.
